Calvin was born on September 4, 1921.

When the war was declared, Calvin enrolled in Air Engine Mechanics.  He then joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as an electrician, taking his basic training in Toronto and an electrical course in St. Thomas. He had 2 brothers who also enrolled Albert William Clark and Walter Manning Clark.

Born in Highgate, Orford Twsp., the son of Ezra and Hazel (nee Manning) Clark, brother of Grace, Gertrude, Albert William, Walter Manning, Ross, Lyle, Mildred and Florence. The husband of Verna (nee Jaques), the father of Gwen (Liberty), Bruce, Robert and Brian.  

Albert was the oldest of the trio of brothers that were sent to war.  Albert held the rank of Staff Sergeant of the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corp.

Calvin served in the RCAF with 344 Squadron, No. 6 Bomber Group.

The CDN 22/06/45 reported that he arrived in Canada and was on his way home after sailing on the S.S. Ile De France.

He passed away Thursday 6/11/2014 at home in Thamesville, ON in his 93rd year. Interment at the Gosnell Cemetery, Highgate, ON CDN-Obit 8/11/2014.
