Abrams, Alan William (A.W.)

Rank Corporal

The Son of Mrs. O. Abrams of 57 University Avenue, Wallaceburg.  

Alan enlisted at Moose Jaw, SASK. He went overseas with the 1st Canadian Division in 1939 He served with the Provost Corp., Artillery, Armoured and Reconnaisance Corp and finally back with the Provost Corp. 

He served in the Italian campaign, France and in Belgium. 

While in England he married and a son Anthony came to Canada in April of 1945 and were living in Brigden, ON with his aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bishop. 

Cpl. Abrams was reported visiting his mother in the WN 21/06/45. He was also going to visit Chatham and Detroit while on a 30 day leave. He expected to be discharged when he reports to London on his return.
