Born in Tilbury, ON., the son of Mr. and Mrs Telesphoce Authier of Queen St., Tilbury.
Pat enlisted at the Windsor Armoury in 1943. He saw action 6/06/1944 D-day invasion of Normandy and was wounded while serving with “a Winnipeg regiment” in the Boulogne, France and was returned home. The CDN 7/03/45 reported that Tpr. Raymond (Pat) Authier was recovered from “wounds sustained while fighting”.
