The son of Ernest and Leona Barnes, the brother of Etta Barnes of Chatham and William. The Wallaceburg News reported that Donald was on active service at HMCS Stadacona, Halifax, NS., Block-F.

Donald passed away 5/10/2013 in Chatham, ON. – gravesite unknown.
