Louis enlisted in Windsor, On. 1/08/1942 at the age of 23. He took his Basic Training at BTC No.12, Chatham, ON. In January of 1943 Louis was training at Camp Borden.  He took part in the D-Day attack 6/06/1944 in Normandy, France and saw action in Belgium.
