The son of Mr. and Mrs. Ubald Benoit of Northwood, ON.  The husband of Edna Mary (nee Legue). Prior to his enlistment Joseph was employed at the Libby McNeil and Libby plant in Chatham.

Married to Deliska, a farmer living at R. R. # 2 Bearline, Dover Twsp. MSA 703628 AC. Attestation: 14/05/1918 at London, ON. to 1^st WOR.

The CDN 29/06/43(P) reported that ‘Gus’  has enlisted in Windsor and received his training in Stratford  and Camp Ipperwash. He had arrived in England.

The CDN 28/12/45 reported that he returned to Canada aboard the S. S. Queen Elizabeth. Next of Kin: Mrs. D. Benoit, 58 Sandys Street, Chatham, ON. The CDN 3/01/46 reported that Raymond had arrive from overseas. 

Raymond passed away in 1985.
