John enlisted with the RCR in London, ON. He served overseas with the Glengarry Highlanders.

After the war, John returned to Blenheim. He worked as an attendant at the Chlidren’s Treatmemnt Centre in Chatham. He was also a member of Branch 185 Legion and the CNIB.

John passed away April 1, 1988 at 86 years old. Internment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim, ON. BNT-Obit 20/04/1988

Supplemental Information The son of Harry and Nellie (Gradstone) Bolus, born in West Lorne and grew up in Blenheim as a young man he worked on the C&O Railway. The brother of Irene (Bedell), Eva, Charles and Howard. On 16/09/1931 John A. Bolus wed June Lenora Bedell at Trinity Church Blenheim. The couple resided on the farm on No. 3 Highway west of Blenheim. John and June had one daughter Joan (Emerson)BNT 23/09/31.
