Born in 1921 at Tilbury, ON. The son of Alfred “Fred” and Irene Bourdeau of Tilbury, ON.

Paul reported to No.1 Initial Training School in Toronto of July of 1942 after leaving his position at the Provincial Bank in Tilbury. TT 16/07/42. Paul was reported home on two weeks leave from the Toronto Manning Pool. TT 28/01/43. He trained at the University of Toronto, Clinton, ON., Corpeis Christi, Texas, Boston, Mass. and Moncton, NB. 

LAC Bourdeau  of RCAF station Clinton made a week-end visit with his parents.

Paul sent a cablegram to his parents in late September of 1943 to let them know that he had arrived safely in England where he would be working as a radio technician. TT 28/01/43, 25/03/43 30/09/43 and the CDN 28/09/43.
