Rank Officer Commanding (Kent Regt.), Captain, Major, Lieutenant-Colonel

Born in St. Catharines 1906. He joined the Lincoln Regt. as a private.  He received his commission as a Lieutenant in 1911. The Lincoln Regt. was ordered on active service 4 August, 1914 Lieutenant Bradley was kept in Canada to command the guards.

In 1917 he went overseas with the Forestry Corp and remained overseas until 1919 and came home with the rank of Captain. He rejoined the Lincoln Regt. and remained with then until 1932. Lieut-Col. He was the proprietor of the Canadian Tire and Electric. 

In 1942 he was promoted to the rank of  Major and 2nd in command of the Kent Regt. (Reserve Force) CDN 18/04/42. Officer Commanding “C” Company, 2nd Bn. Kent Regt. He appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown).

The CDN August 1944 reported that Major A. E. Bradley by order of Military District 1, London, ON. had bee appointed to command of the Kent Regiment (Reserve) with the rank of Lieut. Colonel.

Lt.-Col Bradley and his wife spent the Christmas weekend in St. Catharines as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Hassard. CDN 28/12/44  Lt. Col. Bradley was back in Chatham for the home celebration in the Officers Mess at the Chatham Armouries on New Year’s Day. CDN 30/12/44
