The following letter appeared in the Blenheim News-Tribune 24/01/1945 as “George Bragg and Joe Bonner Completing Tour” as follows:

Dear Leonard,

Joe Bonner and I shall be finished our first tour. To be exact we have two trips to make and so keep your fingers crossed.

I hope you spent a Happy Holiday Season. We spent another quiet Christmas away from the station and not a bad New Years.

Tell Pete to have his chair ready for me when I come back as I am longing for a good haircut again.

Must get to bed and be ready in case of an early call tomorrow.

All the best, as ever

Braggie.

Flt. Sgt. Bragg, Geo.

RCAF Overseas.

George was reported leaving for the east coast after a furlough he spent with his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Brag of Sombra, ON. Prior to his departure the Sombra I.O.O.F. held a farewell party for the young airman. CDN 20/02/44.
