The son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Buckland of London, On CDN 6/07/42. It was reported in the CDN 1/07/42 that Robert had arrived in Chatham from Sydney NS. and was staying as a guest of Mrs. E. L. Rose of William St., Chatham. Cpl Buckland had returned to marry Miss Inez Jean Rose at Christ Church that weekend. After a weekend honeymoon in Detroit, Michigan, the couple departed for Nova Scotia CDN 10/07/42 and 13/07/42.

The CDN 29/06/43 reported that Cpl. Buckland arrived in Chatham a week ago to join his wife who was staying with her father and mother for that past six weeks.   

The CDN 13/02/45 reported that Cpl. R. J. Buckland of Hamilton and his mother of London, ON. were also guests of Mrs. R. J. Buckland and her parents Mrs. E. K. Rose over Sunday.

Reported living at 120 William St., N., Chatham, ON. when he was discharged from military service in August, 1945. CDN 21/08/45.
