Served in Canada four and one half years. Played in Band in Toronto and later with Central Band (Brass) Ottawa, Ontario.

Discharged November 28th, 1945.

The son of Mrs. C. Carney of Wellington St., Chatham, ON. His original enlistment was with the Kent Regt. but had elected to transfer to the RCAF in August of 1941. CDN 25/08/41.

In December 1942, Phillip was at the RCAF Manning Pool – Toronto when he was given a Christmas leave to visit his mother. CDN 30/12/42
