Served in Canada. Enlisted with the Kent Regt.  Transferred to the Essex Scottish Regiment KRA and went overseas in September 1942.

The CDN 3/12/45 reported that Pte. Amos Chantler returned aboard the troopship Queen Elizabeth returned to Canada with the Essex Scottish Regt. He was then on a 30 day leave.
