The son of Mr. J. G. and Winnifred Clark of 178 Park Ave., East, Chatham.  The CDN 1/11/44, reported that James had been promoted from of Flying Officer to Flight Lieutenant. Flight Lieut. Clark was on a Christmas leave to visit his parents. CDN 23/12/44.   

James enlisted in the RCAF in 1941 after his training in Moncton, Three Rivers where he got his Pilot’s wings there December 5th, 1941., he was posted overseas.  Graduated as pilot in Moncton, December 5th, 1941. Instructed in Canada for six months at several stations as Flight Lieutenant. Went overseas in December 1941 took courses in Scotland and returned to Canada. Served last year and a half as a travelling examining officer, testing pilots for flying instructors category.   Sgt.(P) Clark was reported arriving safely in England in February of 1942. CDN 25/02/42 He Continued his training with RAF enlistments in England. He had took advanced training at the Oxford Training School in England where he  “taught British boys how to Bomb Berlin”. CDN 1/08/42. He was back in Canada in August of 1942 to teach “Canadian youth the principle of flight as part of the BCATP

He was back in Canada in July of 1942 to teach “Canadian youth the principle of flight as part of the BCATP” until discharge. Promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant.

James was reported in Chatham visiting his parents before taking up his new duties with Eastern Air Command. The CDN 19/08/44 Reported that Flying Officer Clark was returning to RCAF-Trenton after spending a furlough with his parents on Park Ave.

The CDN 1/11/44, reported that James had been promoted from of Flying Officer to Flight Lieutenant. Flight Lieut. Clark was on a Christmas leave to visit his parents. CDN 23/12/44

The CDN 30/01/45 reported that Flt. Lt. Clark had left Chatham returning to the east coast to resume his duties with Eastern Air Command. 

Discharged October 18th, 1945.
