8 April, 1944

The kindness and thoughtfulness of the Merlin people was again shown to me today when I received a swell box of Neilson’s assorted chocolate bars. May I again thank you for your generosity. The Canadian bars are much superior to te chocolate issued her just before we go flying, and I certainly appreciate your gift very much.

Lyle Campbell and Lawrence Pegg are on our parent station about seven miles away, and we are trying to organize a get-to-gether in the nearby town. I have seen Lyle but Lawrence was flying the day I was at the station. .

Everting is swell over here at this time of the year. Right now the weather is just like our June weather at home.

F/O Glenn E. Crewe.
