Private John Crockett sailed for England December 6th, 1915, and after a short training, proceeded to France early in March 1916. He served here for some time, when he was admitted to hospital suffering with Rheumatism and Varicose Veins, and three months later was sent to take a course in the Transport Section of the C.C.R.C. Training School.

He was in France for three years and was never wounded, but was slightly gassed. He returned to England March 1919 and to Canada in May 1919.

Discharged May 23rd, 1919  at London due to demobilisation.
