Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). Reginald transferred to the 29th Armoured Recce as a Pte. A116913 for overseas service.
The Wallaceburg News 14/08/41 reported that Reg along with Jack Sheff and Jim McIntyre were at HMCS Hunter to enlist with the RCNVR. Reg was reported he was given a leave from his training in Windsor and spent his leave with Mrs. S. D. Crothers in Wallaceburg.
It would appear that he transferred to the Army later.
He was welcomed home by the special wellcoming committee chaired by Ted Carter, Canadian Legion, the war Services committee of the Dominion Glass Company. WN 25/01/46.
