The son of Mrs. Harve M. Duchene, Emily St., Wallaceburg. Fred was well known in the Wallaceburg sports circles. Many of his team-mates are also serving in the ‘fighting forces’ of Canada. Fred was training at RCAF-Bagotville, PQ. He was granted a Christmas leave to be home at his mother’s WN 24/12/42

Mrs. Duchene received an ‘advice’ by cable that he son Fred had arrived overseas recently.
