From Whitebread, Kent Co., ON. The WN 27/01/44 he was stationed at RCAF Station Yarmouth, NS. The Wallaceburg News 30/05/40 reported that a farewell party was held at the home of Mrs. Haitie Murphy. Arthur would be soon leaving to begin his training in the RAF. Beside the party Arthur was presented with a gift of a fountain pen.
The CDN 9/03/44 reported that Captain Ferrar arrived from Nova Scotia on a two week leave with he and relatives. He was reported home again from Nova Scotia for Christmas 1943. WN 6/01/44 He was reported returning to Yarmouth RCAF training WN 23/03/44
Arthur was stationed at RCAF Centralia in April 1945 when he was spending the holidays with his wife in Whitebread. WN 12/04/45.
