Unit # Lincoln and Wellington Regt.

Born in Wallaceburg, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Guerin of 1119 Wallace St., Wallaceburg. Lawrence attended Our Lady of Help separate school and Merci high School. After completing his schooling he was employed at the Dominion Glass Co.

Lawrence enlisted in the army in August 1942 and went overseas in 1943.

While serving in the Lincoln and Wellington Regt. he suffered severe wounds, consisting of multiple shell fragment wounds in the right and left thighs and also in his right arm, in action with the enemy on 10 August 44. He was wounded from shrapnel in his right and left thigh as well as in his right arm. WN 24/08/44
