Born 1/07/1917, the son of Sadie Lee and Herbert Guyitt. Max was educated at S.S. No. 1 (Clark’s) and at Ridgetown High and Vocational School. He enlisted 15/01/1940 in the Provost Corps, going overseas in August 1940 and would not return for 5 ½ years. RRWI-RH.   

The RIN 4/10/17 in the “Indy Past” column reported that in 1943 Max Guyitt then Stationed at No.1 Canadian General Hospital married Christina (nee Powlesland) 31 July, 1943. Max had been stationed at the hospital as a guard.
