Apparent Age: – 27 yrs., Height: 5’ 9”, Girth: 39”, Complexion: Clear, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Light. 14/12/16 at Dresden, Kent Co., ON. – 14/12/1915.

Private John G. Harris was transferred from the 91st to the 186th Battalion and embarked for overseas March 26th, 1917. After seven months training in England he proceeded to France attached to the Battalion. He served but one month in the trenches when he was wounded and admitted to the Treport Hospital. On December 6th he was removed to Stourbridge Red Cross Hospital, England, and later to Epsom V.A.D. Hospital being sent there to Witley Camp where he volunteered to do hospital work which he did until the last of June 1919, he left Liverpool on the Empress of Britain and arrived at Quebec July 10th.

Embarked from Canada – at Halifax – 25/03/17 – Disembarked – England – at Liverpool 7/04/17 – aboard S.S. Lapland – Segregation Camp – 7/04/17.  Overseas to 18th Bn. SOS – 28/07/8 – Ceased to be attached 2nd. C.C.D. on return.

He was still Anemic but improved – Sleeps fairly well – Is unable to walk far because of weakness – 19/06/18.
