Unit # Canadian Army Medical Corps

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Huffman of Cedar Springs, brother of Smith. In an interview with the Chatham Daily News he talked about his experiences in the Medical Corps. The value of blood plasma in saving lives when administered immediately kept many men alive so they could reach a surgical unit produced great results.

The CDN 16/10/43(P) reported that Pte. Huffman was serving overseas.

Jack also talked about the troubles at Aldershot when Canadian troops rioted over poor food and long waits to return home after the war. Jack had two brothers also in service overseas. Served in the Italian campaign. Jack had signed up for service in the Pacific theatre.
