It was reported that Ernie was leaving Dover Centre, Kent Co., ON to join the RCAF. He was given friendly send-off at the Dover Centre Hall before leaving for Hamilton. CDN 3/10/42.

It was reported in the CDN 12/02/44 that Sgt. E. G. Isaacs of Dover Centre received his “Wings” at No.16 S.F.T.S. Hagersville presented by Group Capt. D. Harding A.F.C..
