Regimental number: 3131268 Reference: RG 150, Accession 1992-93/166, Box: 4783 – 14, Item: 479377, PDF: 4783-SO18. MSA 707869 AC. Date of Birth 8/11/1895 at Chatham, ON. The son of George Jamieson of 209 Wellington St., West,  Chatham, ON., Philip was single living at his father’s home. An electrician by trade. 

Philip had his medical 16/10/17 at Chatham. Attestation: 1/05/1918, A II., London, ON. Age 24 years 6 months; Height 5’ 7”, Complexion: Dark, Eyes: Brown, Hair: Dark Brown, Vision 20/20.  

Phillip decided that he would join the Royal Air Force (The Royal Flying Corp and the Royal Navy Air Service had joined to be the RAF). He was given a “Release Form” , enlisted in the RAF as a qualified Electrician and was “Reinstated in the Royal Air Force” stationed at Toronto, ON. Discharged to the RAF 7/06/18 / I.D# 30-J-214 effective 1/06/1918.

Private Phillip H. Jenkins went overseas in March 1918, proceeding to France in August. October 4th, 1918, he received gunshot wounds in the face and hip Sept 27th 1918 at Cambrai he was transferred to 18th General Hospital and when convalescent back to his Batt, left France for England April 29th 1919 and for Canada May 29th.

Discharged at London June 6th 1919 due to demobilization.
