Private Francis Roy Johnston trained about four years with the 24th Kent Regiment, Chatham, Ontario.
Private Francis Roy Johnston was transferred from the 91st to the 186th Battalion and was promoted to Corporal. March 21st, 1917, he was rejected as being medically unfit for overseas service, was given military police duty for a short time, and later was given duty in the Pay Office, London, where he served until discharged from military service.
Discharged at London July 15th 1919 due to demobilisation.
