It was reported that Orville was able to get leave from his training to spend Christmas with his wife who was living in London, ON. TT 31/12/42.
The CDN 22/06/43 reported that Pte. Lachapelle, stationed in London, ON. was on a week-end leave with his wife. The CDN 30/12/43 reported that Pte. Lachapelle at Camp Barriefield, had spent a Christmas leave with Mrs. Lachapelle.
