Enlisted with the Elgin Regiment, in 1940. Proceeded overseas September 1942 with the 4th, Division. Landed in Normandy June 1944. Transferred to the Kent Regiment in 1936.

Appears on the “Muster Roll” of the 2nd Bn., Kent Regiment (MG), N.P.A.N. (date unknown). At one point in time he was serving in the Elgin Regt. [date unknown]. Albert transferred to the 1st Canadian Regt. for overseas duty. [Date unknown].

Awarded the 1939 to 1945 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defence of Britain, the C.V.S.M. with Clasp, the C.E.M. and Clasp (21 years( and the Victory Medal.

Discharged October 26th, 1945.

Albert passed away 19/02/1996.
