Served at various air stations in Canada then was posted for overseas duty and served abroad.

Rev. Latimer came to Chatham in September of 1941 to take charge of Holy Trinity Church  from the Rev. R. D. Mess who was appointed to Christ Church, Chatham.

Rev. Latimer came to Chatham from London, ON. where he was an instructor at Huron College. Prior to that he was in Toronto doing post-graduate work. While he has been in Chatham he was elected to the Chatham Board of Education and became a member of the Kiwanis club.

Rev. Latimer was scheduled to report to RCAF Manning Pool Toronto on 10 April, 1941. CDN 23/03/42.

Rev. Latimer was scheduled to report to RCAF Manning Pool Toronto on 10 April, 1941. CDN 23/03/42.  In July of 1942 Flt. Lieut. Rev. Latimer was stationed at No.6 S.F.T.S. RCAF –Dunnville, ON. CDN 25/07/42 In November of 1942 Flt. Lieut. Latimer and his wife spent a few hours at the Holy Trinity bazaar on the way to his posting at RCAF Dunnville. CDN 21/11/42   The CDN 16/1//43(P) reported that Flt. Lieut. Latimer, then stationed at Galt, ON. was returning to Chatham for the annual Harvest Thanksgiving.
