Toronto Scottish Regt. Born in 1914. John married Ruth Elizabeth (nee Flint) Mohoney; (sister-in-law of Mrs. Frank Jordon of Chatham) who was living at 88 Barthe St., Chatham, ON. The father of Brenda V. (Wilson) and Jack Reginald.
Pte Mahoney went overseas in 1939. It was reported that John was awarded an Efficiency Medal. CDN 22/06/44(P). John was also reported MIA in the CDN 10/11/44.
John passed away 29 March, 1997 at the age of 83 years, internment in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Chatham, ON.
After the war John was a Postal employee.
