Alve served in the army during WWII.

After the war Alve was a rural mail carrier and was a school bus driver for 28 years and farmed for 25 years in the Blenheim area. He passes away at his home 4 September, 2011 at the age of 92 years and is buried in the Pardoville cemetery. CDN Obit – 7/09/11, LM-LP.

Born at 4 Rod Rd., Raleigh Twsp. Kent Co., ON. on 4/04/1919. The son of George and Carrie (nee Thomas), brother of Vern, Roy, Gordon, Carlyle, George, Guy, Delbert, Alta and Myrtle. The husband of Jean (nee Chatterton), they married 24/04/1942 and they had two sons, Delbert and David.
