Trained in Windsor, St. Hyacinth, Quebec, before enlisting for overseas duty. Took an advance training course in signalling in Scotland. Saw duty aboard a Canadian Frigate making several ocean crossings on Convoy duty and encountered enemy action in the English Channel during operations.
