The Wallaceburg News reported that Lester was stationed at No.15 S.F.T.S., RCAF. Claresholm, AB. WN-date unknown. The WN 9/09/43(P) reported that Cpl. Martin married Miss Lillian (nee Frost) in Wallaceburg. The WN 25/03/44 reported that Lester had been on leave and  was returning to Alberta to continue his training. His wife Lillian (nee Frost) accompanied him and resided in Medicine Hat.
