The husband of Beatrice Mae (nee Porter), the father of Pat (Copeland), Mary Ann (Johnson) Pam (Kreitzer) Charlene, Darlene (Phillips), Donald, Jim, Ed, Andrew and Bill.

He was reported serving with the Army in Victoria, BC. BT 8/06/44. The Wallaceburg News reported that he had transferred to the RCAF. LAC McRitchie, R126770 was reported serving overseas stationed with RAF 255 Sqd. in England.

Donald passed away in 2001.
