Served six years with Kent Regiment (M.G.) prior to enlistment.

As private and joined Armoury [sic] Guard September 1939. Transferred to London and re-attested to the C.A.S.F. on January 6th 1940 Transferred to I.T.C. Toronto with rank of Sergeant. Unit moved  to Camp Borden in June 1940 and retained rank of C.Q.M.S. Attended C.O.T.C. Brockville April 1942 for Commission Graduated as 2nd Lieut. July 1942. Returned to Camp Borden and qualified as Lieut and proceeded overseas March 1943, Attached to Toronto Scottish Regiment June 12th 1943 as Lieut and remained with that Unit Till August 1944 in France.

Date of Discharge… Retired from Canadian Army to Reserve.
