The son of Mr. and Mrs. William Newman of 2nd Line Moore, Twsp. The brother of Lee Robert was reported home on a weekend leave from Camp Pettawawa, ON. WN 30/07/42
The WN 3/12/42 reported that Robert was training at a camp in British Columbia and on a two week furlough.
Gnr. Robert Newman then stationed in Vancouver BC was reported spending a few days with his parents on the 2nd Moore Line WN 21/01/43
