Was born in Chatham, Ontario on February 16, 1917.  Next of Kin;  his wife, Mrs. Olga O’Rourke; son Jim, born 1942.  Date of Marriage was 1939.  Place of Enlistment:  Chatham, Ontario; Place of Address:  645 Queen Street, Chatham, Ontario.  He was a Service Policeman.  Served in Canada.

Greg’s wife writes:  “Greg was born and raised in Chatham.  His parents owned the Tecumseh Hotel on Queen Street and he was made manager at age 21.  In 1939 we were married and in 1942 had our first child, a son Jim and Greg got the call to the army but preferred the air force.  The baby was just 6 weeks old when Greg had to leave and we all saw him off at the CPR station on Queen Street.  he came back without any disabilities and we had 2 more boys and a girl.  Greg passed away at age of 70 – had diabetes for 30 years and lost a leg.  We had a wonderful life.  I remember seeing you and your husband in war time.  I am 92 and living in a retirement home.  Thank you so much.”
