While serving with the 13th Batt. 21/08/17 admitted to 7th General Hospital St. Omer suffering from gas shell. 30/08/17 admitted to No.7 General Hospital St.Omer – Gas Poisoning. William was returned to duty 25/10/17. Still suffering attacks of ‘Chronic Bronchitis 

10/12/17 Admitted No. 51 General Hospital – Staples (VDG). 11/02/18 No.3 Casualty Clearing Station (VDG). Discharged 18/06/18. 15/10/18 No.7 Cdn. Stationary – Camiers (VDG) 30/10/18 treated for Ureshritis. !3/12/18 No.5 Stationary Hospital – Dieppe and transferred to 51 General – Estaples. 29/01/19 admitted Cdn. Spec. – Whiley and discharged 3/03/19. 5/03/1919 No. XI Cdn. General Hospital – Moore Barracks – Shorncliffe 

William embarked on RMS. Carmanis at Liverpool for Canada, departed 5/07/1919. He was Taken Off Strength 15/07/1919.

It was reported that on 1/05/1963 at Sonnybrook Hospital William Henry Parish passed away.
