Born in 1915 at Northwood, Kent Co., ON. The son of Ernest and Victoria (Filby). The brother of Lilly Ann (Freeman), Mary (Zimmer), Laura (Richardson), Lucy  (Spicer), Lewis, Lorne, Lulu (Lovell), Letty, Leslie, Burton. The husband of Elsie June; the father of Bonnie (DeGelas) and Allan.

Carl served with the Edmonton Fusillers.

After the war Carl worked at Western Freightline and Kent Asphalt.

Carl passed away 19 November, 1989 at the age of 74 years of age. Interment at Botany Cemetery, Kent Co. ON.
