Charles Piggott joined R.C.A.S.C. 4th Division Petrol Co’y. He transferred to Kent Regiment in 1941 until February 1943.
Private Piggot went overseas as reinforcement to the Essex Scottish Regiment from April 1943 until June 1943 and as reinforcement to Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment June 1943 until September 1944. He retained permanent establishment until January 1945. He saw service in Africa and Italy.
