Born in 1916. The brother of Fred, Stanley, Mary (Brown), Irene (Buckler), John, Garnet, Edith and Clare. The husband of Doreen (nee Allen), the father of Gary and Doug.

Trained in Victoria, Prince George, London, Ont., Camp Borden and Debert N.S. Promoted to Lance Corporal.

Date of Discharge: April 4, 1946

Later after the war he would be the manager of the Silverwoods Dairy.  

Melvin passed away 29 January, 1994 at the age of 78 years old.
