The son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Powers of Chatham Gore Twsp married Mary Janet (nee Martin) the sister of Cpl. Lester E. Martin. The Wallaceburg News reported that Robert was stationed at RCAF Clinton. WN-dat unknown. The WN reported 4/05/44 that Robert along with his wife had spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Powers and Mr. And Mrs. Eugine Martin of Wallaceburg.
