Regimental number: 443309 Reference: RG150, Accession 1992-93, Box 8065 – 54 Item: 585102, PDF:- B8065 SO54. Date of Birth 25/07/1882 at Port Alma, Kent Co., ON. Son of  Brian B. and Mary Ann  Radmore of R. R.3,  Merlin, ON. Albert was living and working in Vernon, B.C. as a carpenter which would have made him a natural for the Cdn. 1st. Pioneers.  Attestation: 17/07/1915 at Camp Vernon, BC.

Apparent Age: 33 yrs. 5 mths. Height 5’ 6”, Girt: 35”, Complexion: Fair, Eyes: Blue, Hair: Fair. A vaccination scar on the Right  and Left arm. Medical at Vernon BC. 3/08/15. Date of Service 25/05/16 to 1st Cdn Pioneers. 30/05/16 Arrived at unit 31/05/16.  .

Albert was with the 54th Bn. TOS 15/07/15 trained from July 15 to November 15. His unit sailed 22/11/15 They arrived 22/11/15 at Vernon Camp, 28/08/15. Transferred to 1st Pioneer Bn. KIA 10/09/16 or 19/09/16.  Transferred to the 48th Bn at Sherncliff,19/02/16. Embarked for France 25/05/16. 

In 10 September, 1916 the 2nd and 3rd Corps of the CEF took over positions in Poziers, France from the badly mauled ANZAC troops from Australia and New Zealand. The advance an counter attacks by the Germans left the 3rd Division alone with 1,060 casualties one of which was Albert Radmore. Pte. Albert Radmore was buried 400 yards buried near a trench.

His ‘Will’ was to Mrs. B. B. Radmore “In Whole” 11/07/16.
