Born 4/05/1914 in Merlin, Kent Co., ON. The son of Millicent ‘Maud’ and Alex Robertson. Brother of Marjorie, Betty, Dr. William, Wesley and Glen. The husband of Lillie (nee Pearson), they married 2/11/1940 the  father to Pamela Ann (Orth) and son J. Brian (deceased 2006).

‘Jack’ enlisted in the RCAF at Calgary, AB., making the rank of Sgt. (WAG). When not flying on “Ops.” Jack was a pitcher for the RCAF baseball team, and remained a sports enthusiast until his passing. The Merlin Standard 1944 (date unknown), reported Jack was serving in the RCAF in New Brunswick when he spent a week-end with his parents,  

Jack was transferred to the RAF and served in Burma, completing his tour of duty in 1945.  He was discharged from the RCAF 22/02/1946.

And avid fisherman and outdoors man at his cottage at Belmont Lake and wintered in Winter Haven, Florida. He devoted time to the Optimist Club and the Delhi United Church.

He passed away 30 January 2013 in Tavistock, ON. at the age of 99 years. Interment was at Stewart Cemetery, Merlin, ON. Obit. Brock & Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, ON. 1/02/13, email LM 1/02/13.
