Son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace C. Roszell of Jeanette’s Creek.

Bill was reported at RCAF  No.1 Manning Pool to begin his training in November of 1942. TT 3/12/42.

In January of 1943 Bill was training in Toronto, ON. TT 19/01/43. AC2 Roszell was on leave from Montreal, PQ. TT 25/03/43.  In April of 1943 Bill was home on leave. Bill was on week-end leave to visit his parents. TT 12/08/43. TT 15/04/43. Bill completed his course at Windsor Elementary Flight Training School (EFTS) in late August of 1943 and was posted to Alymer, ON. for an advanced training course, when he completed a two week furlough at his parents home. TT 26/09/43. In early September of 1943 Bill on leave to visit his parents before being assigned to RCAF Uplands, near Ottawa, ON. TT9/09/43.  The CDN 10/09/43 reported that LAC Roszell left RCAF-Uplands (Ottawa)  on a fortnight’s leave spent at his parent’s home.  

The CDN 26/10/43 reported that student-pilot was at RCAF-Upland S.F.T.S spent a week-end with his parents.

Reported returning to Canada from overseas duty aboard the troopship “Pasteur” expect to dock at Quebec City on the 22nd of September 1945. CDN 20/09/45. Reported returned from overseas duty CDN 23/09/45.

After Bill’s return, he met and married Anna May (nee Heaton), a nurse at the Public General Hospital. They would have three children, Roberta (Mallory), Rebecca (Jones) and Robert. Bill passed away after thirty-eight years of marriage.
