August 30, 1918 Invalidated (Sick) and posted to “Guildford Western Ontario Regimental Depot Castle” at Witley.

HOSPITAL TRAIL – January 29, 1919 He was posted to Hospital Section (LMCH) and granted furlough with subs. To February 12, 1919.  March 7, 1919 he was transferred to Brant house, Burlington Ontario.  Taken on strength on the same day and posted to Hes. Sec., then transferred to the #1.D.D. to complete treatment.  April 11, 1919 he was struck off strength to the hospital section again at #1.D.D.  May 30, 1919 he was posted to causality Coy.  June 6, 1919 He was called “medically unfit”.
He was diagnosed with Pulmonary Tuberculosis on May 27, 1919 in London, Ontario
