Corporal Harvey F. H. Schindler enlisted March 5th 1915 in 33rd Battalion and after training in Canada and England crossed to France August 11th 1916 and served with the 4th Division till the end of the war. He was awarded the Military Medal.

Harvey was awarded the DCM 17/12/16 by Mg. Gen : D. Watson CB 12/12/16. 12/05/19 – Returned to CANADA – SOS to Canada 9/06/1919. Disc. Certificate: 11/06/1919 Military Dist. No.5 – Quebec 11/06/19. Proceeding to Discharge : 12/12/19. HMT Maurentani 31/05/19 

Discharged at Quebec June 11th 1919 due to demobilization.
