Private Roy Snake enlisted at Moraviantown, Ontario March 1917 in a Forestry Coy and trained at Camp Borden until June 21st 1917 when he crossed to England and to France in a Forestry Draft August 1917, he was transferred to the 10th. Battery Infantry April 1918 and saw the fighting at Cambrai and other places until the cessation of hostilities, he returned to Canada April 1919.

Private Snake gave his age as 18 when he enlisted but was not 15 year old. He is probably the youngest soldiers to France and returned safely.
