History After Enlistment… Served as Flight Sergeant Air Gunner overseas, two years.

The CDN 1/09/44 reported that Odeil enlisted in September of 1943. He received his ‘Wings’ at PEI and after training in Quebec he went overseas. CDN 2/09/44

Date of Discharge… February 1946

Odeil’s niece writes: “Dad (Louis Vermeulen) also had a brother Ordeil Vermeulen enlisted with the RCAF as well.  Was a Tail Gunner.  Graduated from #10 Bombing and Gunner School RCAF Mount Pleasant, PEI.  He was not wounded.  He is now deceased.  Served overseas.”
