Veteran’s Story: Gordon’s daughter writes – “My Dad enlisted in the Army at the age of 31. Although he left behind a wife and 4 small children he felt it was his duty. I was almost 4 when he left and 9 when he returned. He missed 5 years of his children growing up. To the best of my knowledge Dad got as far as BC and England. He taught men how to ride motorcycles. He didn’t really like to talk about his service years. He was a member at the Merlin Legion. My Dad passed away at Westminster Hospital on November 12, 1967, from cancer. He was only 58. He was a wonderful man. He did his duty. I miss him.”

Gordon died on November 12, 1967.
